Imola BedőImola Bedo, is Policy Officer at the European Commission, DG Environment, Unit A1 Eco-Innovation and Circular Economy, where she is part of the team implementing Commission Communication on Building the Single Market for Green Products and the Environmental Footprint pilot phase. She is the contact person for several pilots and is responsible for the communication phase.

Simonetta CarbonaroSimonetta Carbonaro is an expert in consumer psychology, strategic marketing and design management. She carries out research in the area of consumer ethos and behaviour, forecasting the directions consumer culture is moving in. Since 2002 she has been a professor in Design Management and Humanistic Marketing at The Swedish School of Textiles, where she has been initiating The Design of Prosperity initiative. She is also a partner at REALISE GmbH, a business consulting firm based in Germany, where she is actively involved in brand management.


Baptiste Carriere-PradalBaptiste Carriere-Pradal is Vice President Europe of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC). SAC is an industry organization, which represent nearly 40% of all clothing and footwear sold on the planet. It comprises brands, retailers, manufacturers, government, and non-governmental organizations and academic experts, which co-developed the Higg Index, the freely downloadable holistic self-assessment tool for measuring environmental and social impact at all level of the supply chain. It aims to introduce consumer-facing sustainability communication tools in the near future.


David GoldsmithDavid Goldsmith is a PhD candidate at The Swedish School of Textiles in Borås, and educator at Parsons The New School for Design in New York, and The Handloom School in Maheshwar, India. His research is focused on the relationships between small scale and local textile production, design management, fashion, and sustainability.




Pål DufvaPål Dufva is Product Supply Manger at Woolpower, a Swedish company fully committed to the production of warm underwear, socks, extra clothing and accessories that are sold under the brand name Woolpower. The company has around seventy employees, and all production from yarn to finished garments made ​​in Östersund in Sweden's mountains. Approximately 80% of sales are exported to more than 25 countries around the world.



Jill DumainJill Dumain has worked with environmental and social sustainability at Patagonia, recognized as the pre-eminent sustainability-questing apparel business, for 25 years. As Director of Environmental Strategy, she helps lead industry-changing initiatives, including The Footprint Chronicles, one of the world’s first and most comprehensive transparency efforts.




Erik KarlssonErik Karlsson is currently working as Environmental Sustainability Coordinator at H&M focusing on development and integration of the Higg Index, Lifecycle Assessments (LCA) of products and development of sustainable products and processes.




Elin LydahlElin Lydahl is the Secretary General of TEKO, the Swedish Textile and Clothing Industries’ Association. Elin has a solid experience of working with production conditions and CSR both for the manufacturing industry and energy sector. The Swedish textile industry today is a highly competitive industry with a high focus on environment, both from the companies themselves and from the national government.



Kavita ParmarKavita Parmar is founder and director of IOU Project. By using a social media-like platform, and transparent production and sales networks, IOU brings developing world handloom weavers into the global economy. IOU represents a new enterprise model possible only via high-tech communication technology and a vision of positive social change.




Gianmario PerettiGianmario Peretti has been running Coop Italy Brand Communication since 2010. Coop, with an approximately 13 billion euro yearly turnover, is the retail leader in Italy. Gianmario’s responsibilities include Coop’s above the-line national and In-Store and Web communication, as well as Visual Merchandising and Customers’ Loyalty management. The Transparency Campaigns lead by him and his team represent a paradigmatic model of social marketing.



Gregory PetersGregory Peters is Professor in the Chemical Environmental Science group at Chalmers University of Technology, which has expertise in the application of quantitative environmental performance assessment tools for the development of new products and industrial processes.  He is a workpackage leader in both the Mistra Future Fashion program and the Formas SUPFES project for substitution of durable waterproofing chemicals.



Lisbeth Svengren-HolmLisbeth Svengren-Holm is Professor in Fashion and Design Management at the Swedish School of Textiles, University of Borås. Her field of research is fashion management with a focus on communi­cation and sustainability. She has recently published an article about how Swedish Fashion Brands communicate – or not – their achievements in sustainability: “Innovative Fashion Concepts and Communication of Sustainability” in the book “Sustainable Fashion: New Approaches”, edited by Kirsi Niinimäki, Aalto University.
