"I can keep living my ordinary life in Jönköping and still get an education and become something I've always wanted to become", says 24-year old Joel Lindberg, the youngest of the ten students admitted to the Police Academy.

"We will also be focusing on the ethics of police work", says Stina Sundling Wingfors, and emphasizes the importance of utilizing the resources that are offered in Borås.

Providing police training at the college level is important according to Peter Backenfall, inspector in charge of recruitment at the Police Authority in Västra Götaland. "A connection to a more serious social scientific base is beneficial to police work research."
