LLR will now start "chipping"
From Thursday, May 5 and during the rest of May, the staff will put RFID-chips in all books.
Library & Learning Resources will no longer have a borrowing system based on barcodes. Our new alternative will be based on a system with radio waves, called RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification). The new equipment for borrowing and returning books will be installed in August. As a first step towards the change, we will, during the month of May,paste chips in our books. On each floor you will see our staff working next to mobile carts with a special equipment to prepare for the coming transition. Hopefully, the work will not interfere with your studies in the library.
