The University of Borås is now environmentally certified

On the 12th April The Technical Research Institute of Sweden announced that the University of Borås will receive an environmental certification. At 3 pm on the 24th of April the official certification ceremony will take place at the entrance to the university.

After a few small adjustments, the University of Borås is now an environmentally certified organization according to international standard ISO 14001.

“This is a very pleasing decision. We have an environmental management system of high-quality at the university, so I'm not surprised. But it is inspiring now that the decision is formal,” says university rector Björn Brorström. “I would also like to thank Birgitta Paulsson, our coordinator for sustainable development, for all the work she has put in to making this possible,” he continues.

On the 24th of April at 3 pm the certification ceremony will take place as the international conference “Stockholm+40 Partnership Forum for Sustainable Development” is promoted locally at the University.
