Join the university in the Pride parade
Borås Pride is arranged for the second year 15 June – 17 June. The University of Borås supports the event and will participate in the parade together with the Student Union of Borås. Come join us!
The parade takes place Saturday 17 June. All employees and students are welcome to join the parade where the university and the student union march together.
Linda Borglund, coordinator for equal rights at the University of Borås explain more about the university’s work with equal rights.
“Everyone should have equal rights and equal opportunities regardless of sex, sexual identity, age, sexual orientation, ethnic origin, religion or disability.
“We have a zero tolerance towards all kinds of discrimination and everyone, both students and employees, should feel included and welcome. To work with equal rights is to question reigning standards, to oppose prejudice and see everyone as individuals. Equal rights are a part of our value-system and a part of sustainable development, ultimately this is about human rights, something we always have to stand up for. The university wants to be a part of Borås pride and will participate in the parade”.
