For the area of responsibility research and education there are two boards: The Research and Education Board (Forsknings- och utbildningsnämnden or FoU in Swedish) and the Artistic Research and Education Board (Nämnden för konstnärlig forskning och utbildning or KFU in Swedish.

In addition, there are two boards that deal with disciplinary matters concerning staff and students. These are the Disciplinary Board (Disciplinnämnden in Swedish) and the Staff Disciplinary Board (Personalansvarsnämnden in Swedish).
