This programme starts with an introductory course in the well-equipped textile laboratories, which gives you a good insight in textile production. Then follows specialisation courses where you learn to handle the textile value chain and understand how the different parts are linked together and affect each other.
The courses have a strong basis in current research in textile management with a focus on sustainable development in the textile value chain as well as research in adjoining subjects such as business administration and industrial economics.
Research in textile management at the University of Borås is internationally prominent and integrated in the programme through lectures, workshops, and projects. There are also good opportunities to connect with other researchers around the world via international networks and collaborations.
After graduation, the labour market is good and most students use their education to move on to new jobs in the textile and fashion industry.
