Swedish Centre for Resource Recovery (SCRR) is conducting world leading Research, Education and Innovation to significantly reduce the global fossil fuel consumption and approach sustainable society. We identify new and improved methods to convert residuals into different kind of value-added materials and energy. Innovations that result from our activities will help to reduce greenhouse gas effects and other environmental challenges, while creating circular economy.
The Swedish Centre for Resource Recovery involves study programs at all levels; undergraduate, master and post graduate. The Master programme in Resource Recovery as well as the post graduate education in Resource Recovery are taught in English. The master programme has three specializations; Industrial Biotechnology, Energy Technology and Polymer Technology. They are strongly coupled to the research in Resource Recovery. It is important for us to provide the master students with valuable experiences of research and also of working in well-equipped research laboratories with modern facilities. As a result, a considerable number of our students continue with post graduate studies, either at the Swedish Centre of Resource Recovery or internationally. The BSc courses are taught in Swedish.
The research projects at the Swedish Centre for Resource Recovery covers technical, environmental and social aspects of sustainable resource recovery and is mainly performed by research groups in Biotechnology, Combustion and thermal processes, Computational modelling, Polymer technology and Environment.
The Swedish Centre for Resource Recovery also has systematic and strong partnerships with local, national and international companies and authorities. There are several innovative research results that are already implemented in larger scale.
