Admitted student - checklist
1. Receive admission letter
Once the selection results have been published, you will receive an email reminder from the National Admissions Office to log in to 'My pages' at universityadmissions.se (external link) and check your results.
2. Pay the first instalment*
The tuition fee should be paid in advance, one semester at a time. If you do not pay your tuition fee before the advised deadline on the invoice, you will not be allowed to register at the university and begin your studies. Check the payment process.
3. Check your insurance status
Make sure you have comprehensive insurance coverage (private or through the university). Read more about Health Insurance at the university and in Sweden.
4. Apply for residence permit in Sweden
If you are a citizen of any other country than an EU/EEA country you need to apply for a residence permit. You are required to have the permit before you move to Sweden. You should apply for residence permit as soon as possible after you have been admitted. The permits are granted by the Swedish Migration Board.
5. Plan your accommodation
Finding accommodation is an essential step in order to start your studies. The university does not provide any student accommodation but helps you with information on how to find a place to stay.
