This course deepens the different perspectives of the Swedish language and Swedish society that was introduced in the previous course "Swedish as a foreign language - beginner's course" 7.5 credits. The focus rests on the students' own linguistic progression. This course is largely centered on communicative exercises designed to train and encourage wider knowledge and skills in the Swedish language. Written and oral statements, which are mandatory, are reported continuously. The course also provides some guidance in Swedish cultural heritage and society.
Admitted student to education at University of Borås and who has participated in Swedish as a foreign language - beginner's course, 7,5 credits
The language of instruction is Swedish. However, instruction in English can occur.
Lectures, individual assignments and group projects.
The course may not be included in a degree. This course is for foreign students with a mother tongue other than Swedish.

When finishing the course, the student must demonstrate knowledge in Swedish corresponding to level A2 on the CEFR scale.
Students who are awarded the grade Not passed may receive a participation certificate.

The course is evaluated orally during the course. In addition, an individual written evaluation is accomplished at the end of the course. The evaluation is presented in a course report that is published according to the rules of the Academy.
