The PEP research program has been underpinned by five research questions (1) What is educational praxis? (2) How, in different national contexts, is good professional practice (‘praxis’) being understood and experienced by teachers? (3) How, in different national contexts, is good professional development (praxis development) being understood and experienced by teachers? (4) How, in different national contexts, are the changing cultural, social, political and material conditions for praxis and praxis development affecting the educational practices of teachers? and (5) What research approaches facilitate praxis and praxis development in different international contexts? This meta-analysis will culminate in the production of a substantive book based on responses to these five questions in light of the research conducted by the group. Researchers participating in the meta-analysis and collaborative writing project are from universities in Sweden (including the University of Borås), Norway, Finland, Colombia, Australia, and New Zealand.
