New research advisor at GIO
Greetings to Mats Dolatkhah, acting research advisor at Grants and Innovation Office (GIO). What does it mean to be a research advisor?
My role is to provide good support to researchers, particularly during the application process and around funding. I am stepping in for Peter Klason who is currently on parental leave.
What did you do before you began at GIO?
I was a Senior Lecturer at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science here at the university. I taught and conducted research with financing from, among others, The Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet). My research dealt with reading and reading activities.
What do you do when you aren’t working?
In that case I prefer to spend time with my family, hopefully outdoors. There’s also quite a bit of work in the house and garden.
