Problems with Panda Antivirus
We are now in the process of restoring computers back to normal operation.
The computers affected by the bug are now running an automatic update to fix the problems. It also means that we activate antivirus protection.
Our supplier of antivirus, Panda, has suffered a serious software error that gives error message on the university's computers. In the current situation, the application files are incorrectly quarantined. The supplier has identified the problem and are working on a solution.
In order to reduce the damage we have decided to temporarily turn off virus protection. This means that you should not install any software on the university's computers and be vigilant with what websites you visit. It is also important that you are careful with any attachments you open in your e-mail.
Campus Services and IT monitors the supplier's work in order to resolve the problem as soon as possible.
