Within the same thread
When the threads of the piece come together they create varying structures, and when parted from each other they separate. Form is created when the threads are starched, which allow the maker to choose certain threads to cross over, and add extra material to help with shaping. By using one material, the piece is cohesive, which creates a structural awareness; a textile that is technically and aesthetically well thought through.
