Publishing instructions
All employees at the University of Borås can deposit publications to BADA.
Please check that your publication is not already registered by your research administrator in BADA. Please do a search on your lastname and year for example in Research Publications. We have done some changes in BADA's registration forms to make it simpler by creating a collection for each following type: articles & reports, books and book chapters and conference papers.
- If you need a flyleaf please use the flyleaf of the University of Borås (docx). Before you deposit: convert your publication to pdf and rename your file to for example lastname and year. Please control your publishers rules and regulations regarding depositing a copy in an open archive.
- Log in to BADA with your university user ID at My page in BADA (in the menu to the left).
- Choose "Start a new submission".
- Choose which collection you want to submit to. Each collection has an abbreviation in parentheses. If your publications is not written during your employment at UB choose a collection identified with (EX):

- Choose "The item has been published or publicly distributed before", then choose Next. Note that if you don´t choose "The item has been published or publicly distributed before" you will not be able to fill in Publisher, Journal, Date etc.
- On the following pages you can now fill in the form with your bibliographical data; author, title, series, keywords, abstract etc. What's new is that you should also fill in your signature (three or four letters). Then your publication will be connected to you research profile, for researchers here and for doctoral students here.
- From spring of 2011 you will need to fill in if your research falls within the scope of sustainable development. You will also need to fill in if your research can be connected to one or more of UB's strategic research areas
- Upload your fulltext by choosing "Browse" and then find your file on your computer. If you don't want to upload a fulltext choose "Skip upload file".
- The following two steps you can control that everything is correct.
- Choose "I grant the License" which means that you agree that your work will be freely available in BADA. You still own the rights to your work and you can get your work removed from BADA at any time.
- Your work will be examined by a librarian at Library & Learning Resources before it is published and searchable in BADA.You will get an automatic e-mail with a link to your work when your work is published in BADA.
- THS has a new collection which is better suited to register research publications, Objects, material, exhibitions, etc., which are not traditional text-based publications but research resulting in exhibitions and objects.
