Master programme in textile engineering, 120 credits

If you seek deepened understanding of textile engineering this is the program for you. The program provides the tools to master textile materials, their processes and applications. You will get profound knowledge in design, construction, manufacture and adaptation of advanced textile products. With focus’ on current research, understanding of the textile value chain and entrepreneurship the program will prepare you both for advanced industrial and academic positions. After graduation you have acquired the tools to work in executive or expert positions in an R&D, quality, production or logistics departments, start a business of your own or perhaps go for a PhD program.

The program is based on modules of Advanced textile materials engineering, Textile construction and manufacturing, Textile entrepreneurship and management, Smart textiles and the last semester is fully devoted to the degree project. Only a limited number of students are offered admission each year. Hence a highly personalized pedagogic atmosphere is enabled. There are also joint courses with the other master programs given at the Swedish School of Textiles that will offer opportunities to improve social networks. The program, which is given in English, attracts both Swedish and international students.

There is an opportunity to settle for the first two program modules and conduct a half a semester degree project while the ones who take the full two year program take on the entrepreneurship and management module. Read more about the 60 ECTS programme.
