Norwegian Council for Cultural Affairs (Norsk kulturråd)
An advisory body concerned with national cultural issues. Administered and financed by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. Performs three principal tasks: managing the Norwegian Cultural Fund, advising central government and the public sector on cultural questions initiating experimental cultural activities in areas where it sees a need for special efforts.
Policies for Culture
A regional, partnership programme jointly initiated and managed by the ECF (NL) and the Ecumest Association (Romania) and in partnership with organisations in the region of SEE and the EU. Structured around the relationship between civil society, the executive and the legislature in the policy-making process. The accent lies on empowering cultural operators to find the channels to voice opinions in this process, and encouraging participative policy-making.
Program for Cultural Research (Program for kulturstudier)
Organised and financed by the Research Council of Norway. In the course of the five-year period from 1998 to 2002, the Programme aims to promote interdisciplinary humanities and social sciences research into cultural understanding, cultural refraction and cultural policy in modern Norway.
