Student Health Care

Students at the University of Borås have access to Student Health Care at the University.

The employees at Student Health Care have an understanding of students' lifestyles. We work with preventative health care and individual contact. We also offer support through discussions or certain treatments. The Student Health Care is a compliment to the district health care.

  • All visits to the Student HealthCare center is free of charge.
  • We work under professional secrecy.
  • When you visit the Student Health Care for the first time, you need to bring a valid ID to proof your identity.

Stress seminars

Stress is a surviving strategy and the body's reaction and something that benefits us- if we don't get stuck in a feeling of constant stress, that is. If so, we may notice tension in our bodies, depression, difficulties to concentrate or to sleep. The Student Health Care Center offers seminars where you can learn more about stress and reactions to stress. No booking is necessary.

We meet in room J 418 between 15.00 - 16.00 on these dates:

22/2, 20/3, 25/4.  

The class will be given in Swedish. 

Relaxation with the student health care

..if you want to take a break and get some guidance on how to find stress relief, get tips on breathing exercises and get a moment of conscious presence.

We meet in room B 412, between 12.15 -13.00, at these dates: 

22/2, 21/3, 18/4, 9/5. 

No booking is necessary.  

We practice stretching tens muscles, relaxing sitting down and lying down and we focus on breathing and presence.

The class will be given in Swedish.

 "Meals together"  

Do you find cooking for one person boring? Would you like to join us in having meals together? You will arrive to a table ready laid 5-6 times and you will prepare a meal one time. Moreover you get the opportunity getting to know more students. If this is something you have longed for, please contact the Student Health Care Center on telephone: 033-435 42 63.

Functions within the Student Health Care

Social Councellor 

Having the opportunity to speak with someone can often be the beginning of a change. This can be true whether you are having problems with your studies, have issues with your economy, are affected by crisis, feeling of grief, or if you are worried, depressed or stressed.

Student Nurse

The nurse can give you advice on health-related questions, perform simple check-ups or health care treatments. If you need further medical treatment you can also receive guidance where to turn. You can visit the nurse during drop-in-hours or book an appointment for a longer talk about your health.
