PsYoungSupport

In collaboration between Vårdalinstitutet and University of Gothenburg, InnovationLab has realized a web portal which aims to support young people related to people with mental illness.

Description

The overall objective of the research project PS Young Support is evaluating ICT interventions (information and communication technologies-logical) in the form of information and support to young people who have a relative whit poor psychological health.

The goal is to develop an interactive web portal containing information and links. It is also possible to communicate with other people via the web portal. Communication to happen in both the "sealed room" that is only connected to group members in a larger forum. The teams should consist of people in similar situations and "mentor" with health care professionals.

Technology

The site is built using CMS: et (Content Management System) Drupal. Drupal is open source, and allows for a flexible and stable platform, with great potential for innovation and rapid, smart solutions. Drupal is also no licensing costs.

Site functionality is mostly made up of third-party modules, including those open sources. This allows a fast and flexible development of the site, where a great reuse of functionality is possible.
