Quality Audit

The new quality assurance system of the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education ensures that all Swedish universities are examined in 2007-2012. The changes made in the new quality assurance system are parts of the Bologna Process. The assessment used in the audit cover, among other things, the guidelines in ENQA, “Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area”.

University of Borås is one of the institutions that will be examined during 2009. The main goal, according to the directions of the quality audit of the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education, is to develop a culture where systematic quality work becomes an important and integral part of the everyday work at universities. The starting point of the evaluation is to establish to which degree institutions of higher education meet the quality requirements of the Higher Education Act and the Higher Education Ordinance. It is also important that the quality enhancement work creates an interest and commitment to everyone concerned. Evaluating two to three specific fields is included in the audit. The University of Borås is to carry out a self -evaluation and submit it in to the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education by June 8th, 2009. The self-evaluation is to contain additional self-evaluations of the specific fields.
