Swedish Language Courses for Foreign Students
University of Borås offers courses for exchange students and 'freemovers' during spring and autumn semesters.
Application procedure
The application procedure for Swedish language courses at the University of Borås will only be made through www.universityadmissions.se, or TransIT for exchange students (exception: EILC Intensive course).
The courses are only available to foreign students enrolled in another course/programme at the University of Borås (exception: EILC Intensive course)
Re-registration: No consideration will be given to applications from previous semesters. Students registered previous semesters can not apply again for the same course. Students may ask the course administrator at the course start for re-registration if there are any openings.
Spring 2012: One beginner’s course will start in 20 January and one preliminary 30 March. The continuation course (25 seats) will start preliminary 30 March. Lectures are given twice a week.

Swedish as a Foreign Language - Beginning course (7,5 ECTS)
Application process will be open to 16 Jan, 2012 at www.universityadmissions.se. Please note that exchange students apply through TransIT (e-mail to: exchangeboras@hb.se).
All admitted students will receive an invitation letter (via e-mail) with information before the course start. All admitted students must register at the website https://registrera.hb.se.
The course starts 20 January at 1 pm. Admitted and attending students will be divided into smaller groups. Scheduled lectures take place twice a week.
The schedule is one of the two following options:
- Mondays 9-12 am and Wednesdays 4.30-7.30 pm
- Tuesdays 4.30-7.30 pm and Fridays 1-4 pm

A new course will start preliminary 30 Marchand will be given twice a week.

Swedish as a Foreign Language - Continuation course (7,5 ECTS)
The course starts preliminary 30 March. All admitted students will get an admission letter (email) with information before the course start.
- The Student must have finished and passed the course “Swedish as a Foreign Language – Beginners Course, 7,5 ECTS” when the continuation course starts. Students who are registered for the beginning course (ÖSF111) during application period, may apply for the continuation course.
- The course will be held twice a week Tuesdays 4.30-7.30 pm and Fridays 1-4 pm
The application process will be open to 14 March, 2012 at www.universityadmissions.se. Please note that exchange students apply through TransIT (e-mail to: exchangeboras@hb.se).

Erasmus Intensive Language Course - Swedish Beginning Course, 7,5 ECTS
This is an activity within Erasmus Programme for preparing Erasmus Exchange Students for their stay in the host country.
The course starts 2 January 2012 at 2 pm and ends 14 January. Students are expected to be in Borås during the whole period.
