ÖSF111 Swedish as a Foreign Language – Beginners´ Course, 7.5 ECTS
This course addresses foreign students with little or no previous knowledge of the Swedish language with the intention of providing basic language skills as well as familiarity with the Swedish society and culture. The purpose is to make the students aware of different learning strategies and use dictionaries.
Admission Requirements
This course is given to foreign students enrolled in any course/programme at the University of Borås.
Student who has been registered previous semesters may not apply again to the same course. No consideration will be given to applications from previous semesters. Students may ask the course administrator for re-registration if there are any openings.
How to apply
The application procedure for Swedish language courses at the University of Borås will only be made through www.universityadmissions.se, or TransIT for the exchange students. Exchange students who have not applied through TransIT from their home countries should contact the admission office.
Preliminary schedule:
The course starts 20 January at 1 pm for all admitted students. The attending students will be diveded into different groups. The course will be scheduled twice a week for each group with lectures as one of the two following alternatives:
- Mondays 9-12 am and Wednesdays 4.30-7.30 pm
- Tuesdays 4.30-7.30 and Fridays 1-4 pm
A new course will start 30 March, on Tuesdays 4.30-7.30 pm and Fridays 1-4 pm. The application process will be open between 26 February and 14 March at www.universityadmissions.se. Please note that exchange students apply through TransIT (contact the admissions office).
