Cooperation
Our university prides itself with good ties to industry. Our closest partner, for example, is the Swedish National Testing and Research Institute, which is located just ten minutes from the university. This cooperation has e.g. lead to the establishment of a logistics laboratory, as well as a competence centre, Waste Refinery, that deals with effective resource recovery management, sustainable technology and multi disciplinary issues on the energy and environmental field.
The school of engineering cooperates with several partner universities, mainly in Europe, where students can take part in student exchange programmes such as Erasmus and Linnaeus-Palme (only for EU members) and there is also a high international activity among our researchers. Except from Europe cooperation is for the moment also proceeding in e.g. Cuba, Indonesia and Mexico.
The School of Engineering is one of four partners in the colaboration concept Waste Recovery - International Partnership in Borås, where the other three partners are the Swedish National Testing and Research Institute, Borås city and Borås energy & environment company. The aim with this colaboration is to share knowledge about how to turn waste into something valuable as energy or new products. This form of colaboration arouses great interest in many parts of the world.
