The School of Engineering is cooperating with the SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden (conveniently placed in Borås). Among other cooperation projects are the construction of a laboratory for research on logistics in 2005 and the foundation of a competence centre, Waste Refinery, where the University of Borås, cities in the region Västra Götaland and companies cooperate.
