Final thesis work

All students studying an engineering study programme at BSc or MSc level should do a final thesis project of 15 ECTS credits at BSc level and of 15/30 ECTS credits at MSc level.

There are a few things that you should consider before you start the thesis work. To make the planning process easier you should take part in the PM about carrying out the thesis project.

The thesis project is not only a practical work. One important part of it is the documentation of the project work. This is done in a thesis report that should be evaluated and approved by an examiner. When the report is completed  and approved you will be invited to have the report published in the digital archive of University of Borås, BADA, where it will be accessible for everybody.

Short tips

Plan and prepare for the thesis work already the term before the thesis work is to be carried out. Remember that the thesis work is a course that should be carried out accordingly to the study plan and on the given study periods.

You must have an approval to start from the examiner before you start the thesis work. When this is done you must register to the course "Thesis work" at the administration office at the School of Engineering, floor D8.

Keep in touch with the supervisor/examiner regularly during all the thesis work.
