Writing examinations

Here you find most of the information you need to know about writing examinations.

Periods for examination

Courses generally are examined on three occasions a year. One ordinary examination and two re-examinations will be held. To see present years examination periods see Terms and periods.

Registration to all examinations is mandatory

The routines for registration to examinations are applied according to below. 

  • The student has to be listed to all examinations.
  • Registration is to be done on the web page: Registration for exam.
  • To be able to register to examination you first must be registered to the course and have a user-ID (computer account). Check if you are registered to the course on "Mitt Konto" (My account).
  • Web registration opens appr. 4 weeks before the examination date and closes 7 days before the examination date.
  • Registration to ordinary examination as well as to re-examination has to be done.

The students must be present in the examination room 15 minutes before the starting time of the examination. Then the doors will be closed.

Note!

  • Only students who are registered to the course in question at University of Borås have the right to do the examination. A valid id-card (with photo) or valid passport should be brought to the examination (mandatory).
  • In due time before the examination, check that you are registered to the course.

Guiding principles

Folder in English with detailed information, Examination and Guiding Principles for Secure Examination are available at the table outside the administration's office on floor D8. These folders should be obtained and read in due time before the examinations.

Schedule

Room for examination will be listed on the schedule on the Internet and the TV-monitors in the main entrance.
