Recovery of energy and material resourses

The research profile Recovery of energy and material resourses is focused on the sustainable energy recovery of waste (combustion, bioethanol, biogas) and the use of biobased raw material for energy production or new products like biopolymers (especially biological super absorbent). The environmental impact of large-scale energy systems is also studied. Within the profile there is a strong collaboration between researchers from different fields like biotechnology, energy and material science.
