Enviroment

According to the assignment from the ministry universities and colleges shall work with environmental systems. The University College of Borås has not got any environment system today but has the goal to be certified according to ISO 14 001:2004 in the future. The work with environmental issues and lasting development will in view of this gradually be built up and include all activities at the college.

The goal of the environmental work at the college is to reach the national quality goals for the environment, which are:

• Environmental driven growth and welfare.
• A good health- the most important resource of the future.
• A unified policy for a lasting society.
• A policy for children and young people in an aging society.

Furthermore, the college aims to contribute to:

‘A development that satisfies today’s needs without venturing future generations’ ability to satisfy their needs.’ Our common future (1987)

This is according to the three dimensions that are included in the concepts of lasting economic, ecologic and social development.
