Centres
At the University of Borås there are several centres that bring together representatives of the University and the surrounding society. A centre is a more or less formal organisation of various actors from various organisations, working in relatively limited field. A centre is often set up to strengthen the development in an area of mutual interest to the parties.
At the University of Borås there are ten centres.
Centre for Collaborative Innovation (CCI)
The Centre for Collaborative Innovation is interdepartmental and allows for cooperation company to company and between companies and public organisations in developing new business and service models. The research model is Information Exchange and Codesign.

Centre for Work Life Science (CAV)
The purpose of the Centre for Work Life Science is to contribute to reflection and innovative cooperation between working life, education and research in the field of work life science.

Centre for Entrepreneurship and Business Design (CEA)
The Centre for Entrepreneurship and Business Design conducts education, research and counselling in entrepreneurship. The Centre's main focus is sharp business projects and close cooperation between the business sphere and innovation systems.
Centre for Cultural Policy Research
The Centre for Cultural Policy Research strives to deepen knowledge about the role of cultural policy in society through research. The primary objective with the research is the study and analysis of the relations between public authorities and other actors to culture and cultural life.

Centre for School Development (CSU)
The Centre for School Development is a cooperation forum where the region's municipalities join the University in stimulating competence and school development in a variety of forms. The centre also contributes to development and the spread of new knowledge with relevance to school and pre-school.

Centre for Studies of IT from a Humanist Scientific Perspective (ITH)
The publication of the magazine HumanIT is the ITH's focus. The centre also works on creating networks on humanist scientific IT research, nationally as well as internationally.
Centre for Textile Research (CTF)
The Centre for Textile Research works on both national and international levels to gather interested actors who want to take part in strengthening textile research.
PreHospen
PreHospen conducts research in further developing and improving emergency health care. The centre's mission is uniting research, the spread of knowledge and education, focusing on the two former.
FoU Sjuhärad - välfärd
FoU Sjuhärad - välfärd is a forum for all those interested in senior issues who want to make a difference or take part of new knowledge and experience in nursing and the field of handicaps. ÄVS also conducts research and development and has access to scientific competence in nursing and the field of handicaps.
