Education in Informatics

Computer and Systems Science (System Architect)

Three year programme, leading to a Degree of Bachelor of Science with a major in Informatics, 180 ECTS
After completion of the programme the student is a specialist in many forms of programming, but also skilful in related areas such as databases, networks and Internet. For a System Architect it is equally natural to develop applications for PDAs, computer games, web based virtual communities or traditional administrative systems for business enterprises.

Systems Science

Three year programme, leading to a Degree of Bachelor of Science with a major in Informatics, 180 ECTS
After completion of the programme the student has become a systems designer and developer of IT solutions for the future, working with communication, information and design. The programme is about creating comprehensible and intelligible information systems understandable by humans; making people and computers to function together.

Business informatics

Three year programme, leading to a Degree of Bachelor of Science with a major in Informatics, 180 ECTS
After completion of the programme the student is expected to have acquired knowledge and skills both in the field of Business Studies and the field of Informatics, due to the fact that the education gives equal attention to the two subject areas. The overall aim of the programme is that the student after having completed the education is to be employable both as an economist and as a systems developer. Supplementary education in Informatics

Bachelor programme in Informatics

One year programme, leading to a Degree of Bachelor of Science with a major in Informatics, 60 ECTS
For those who already have an academic education, and at least 30 ECTS in informatics, this programme makes it possible to achieve a Bachelor’s degree in Informatics. The student develops abilities to systematically and well-founded handle complex problems connected to the development and use of IT.

Master programme (One Year) in Informatics

One year programme, leading to a Degree of Master of Science (One Year) with a major in Informatics, 60 ECTS
For those who already have a Bachelor’s degree in Informatics, this programme further develops and deepens the knowledge in Informatics with studies on the advanced level.

Master programme (Two Year) in Informatics with specialization in Co-Design of Business and IT

Two year programme, leading to a Degree of Master of Science (Two Years) in Informatics with specialization in Co-Design of Business and IT, 120 ECTS
Co-design focuses on the process in which different perspectives and skills are woven together in new products, organizations and businesses. It means recognition of the need to involve different groups of actors in the design process and that business and IT systems need to be co-created. The overall objective of the programme is that the students should acquire the knowledge of qualified work with coordinated/collaborative business and systems development in accordance with the theories and methods of co-design.
