Pedagogical support and compensatory aids available at Library & Learning Resources
- Recorded course literature from the Swedish Library of Talking Books and Braille, TPB
- Note-taking assistance
- Extra guidance/Mentor support
- Extended examinations
- Alternative forms for examinations
- Access to The Studio with spelling and translation software, scanner, text-to-speech software
- Pedagogical guidance
The need for this kind of support is assessed by the dyslexia counsellor together with you. Decision concerning examination is made by the course supervisor/the examiner from the academic school/department.
Pedagogical guidance
If you wish to receive pedagogical guidance the counselling emanates from the content of your courses and your course literature. It is given individually, in small groups, as workshops or mini-seminars.
Pedagogical guidance can contribute to
- finding your own learning style
- finding strategies to facilitate your studies
- developing your language awareness
I offer assistance on text structure, grammar usage and word choice as well as stylistic considerations. I also answer questions about writing conventions, e.g. spelling and punctuation, but I do not offer
- advice on text content
- proof reading or editing services
Courses
Library & Learning Resources can give a number of non-credit courses throughout the year. You can find what is offered under Current courses on the web site of Library and Learning Resources. On student demand, we can also arrange custom-made courses.
