SSLIS: Education
Welcome to the Swedish School of Library and Information Science (SSLIS) at Göteborg university and University of Borås!
Undergraduate and postgraduate education and research in Library and Information Science are central issues at the School.
The undergraduate education is aimed at future librarians and information specialists. More than 300 students are admitted each year and about 130 Master’s theses are produced each year.
The School does not currently admit English speaking international students to undergraduate/bachelor degree programmes unless they have passed a mandatory language exam given by the state authorities.
This applies to all undergraduate/bachelor level students at the University except for those arriving on exchange programmes from one of our partner universities.
We have two Master's programmes where the courses are given in English. You can find more information about the programmes to the left. At these pages you will also find information about offered single courses.
It should be noted that the School does accept English speaking international students on exchange programmes.
