Welcome to the Swedish School of Library and Information Science (SSLIS) at University of Borås

Undergraduate and postgraduate education and research in Library and Information Science are central issues at SSLIS. The undergraduate education is aimed at future librarians and information specialists. More than 300 students are admitted each year and about 130 Master’s theses are produced each year. The School does not currently admit English speaking international students to undergraduate/bachelor degree programmes unless they have passed a mandatory language exam given by the state authorities. This applies to all undergraduate/bachelor level students at the University except for those arriving on exchange programmes from one of our partner universities.
