The research and development programme F3- Fashion Function Futures at the University of Borås aims to develop new knowledge on the constituents of the textile value chain and the special characteristics of the fashion industry.

The Swedish School of Textiles works as the organizational foundation for F3 - Fashion Function Futures. However, the programme is interdisciplinary and involves research groups in a multitude of research fields at the University of Borås, most notably Logistics and Commerce, Consumer Behaviour and Resource Recovery.

Futures in F3 stands for the challenges that lie before the industry in addressing the economical growth factor and a responsible approach to the future of the planet and all its inhabitants.
