Sales Forecasting Using Data Mining
This project will evaluate the use of data mining for sales forecasting. Researchers will apply new technology to industry relevant problems, continuously comparing obtained performance to existing solutions. An important goal is to produce prototype software using the developed technology. Naturally, this software must be tailored for the complex forecasting situations targeted, so all problems will be addressed in collaboration with media analysts and statisticians at ICA Handlarna AB.
