Combustion and thermal processes

Description

The research group in Combustion and thermal processes has previously been devoted to research and development within combustion of different materials, mostly waste and biomass. Many of the projects are in collaboration with industry and are based on experiments and measurements in full scale (commercial) equipment. The goals are to optimize the efficiency and economy of heat and power plants and at the same time minimize the usage of natural resources and the environmental impact. We also have experience in gasification of different materials, especially biomass and black liquor and this is the area where we expand our research efforts.

Finished research projects
