300 new international students take part in introduction activities
More than 300 new international students arrived this week to take part in the introduction activities which is offered every year by the University of Borås before the official semester starts.
All international students, both exchange students and free movers, were invited to take part in the introduction which gives the participating students a chance to find out what it is like to be a student in Sweden in general and at the University of Borås in particular. The students also got practical information about how to find their way around the university, how to find accommodation, where to buy food and other essential things, how to use the bank, how the healthcare system works etc. In addition, the new students got a short introduction to how the Swedish society works and tips on how to behave in class and how to interact with Swedish people .
After the first information session the new students got the opportunity to try something very Swedish, namely “Fika”. Coffee and cinnamon buns tastes nice.
