Mentor Programme

The University of Borås welcomes almost 400 international students each year. The mentor programme aims to facilitate the students' adaptation to their new environment in Borås and for mentors and mentees to interact between cultures and study programmes.

For enrolled students
Are you interested in meeting people from different countries, get to know a new culture and learn a new language/train a language you already know? Would you like to share your own experiences from your studies and your time spent in Borås and make new friends?

If so, we are looking for current students who are eager to help new international students to adjust to life and studies in Borås. Being a mentor is a rewarding experience and gives you the opportunity to make new friends for life. As a mentor you get an insight into how it is being new in Sweden and you also get credit for future exchange studies and jobs!

You can sign up to be a mentor for the Autumn semester 2019 by filling in the form at the bottom of this page. Please let us know if you are interested in a specific language, culture or hobby - it makes our matching process easier.

For new incoming students
The mentor programme is a chance for you to get in touch with a student (Swedish or international) who is currently studying at the University of Borås before the semester starts. The mentor students can serve as a point of contact for you before your arrival and give you a helping hand while starting your time as an international student at the University of Borås.
