The Orientation Days for new international students take place before the start of the semester and are mandatory, as this is the best chance for you to receive information about studying in Borås and meet your fellow students.
The Orientation Days will take place 29-30 August 2019 and are mandatory for all new international students, unless you are admitted to a distance programme. This is a good chance for you to receive information about living and studying in Sweden and Borås, and meet your fellow students for the first time. You will also receive a welcome package including, among other things, a SIM card for your mobile phone.
During the first weeks of the semester, you will also have the chance to engage in social activities during the Introduction arranged by the Student Union in Borås (external link). The activities introduce you to the University and the city of Borås and are a great opportunity for making new friends. The social activities are open for international as well as Swedish students. The activities could be, for example, city tours, music quizzes, and much more. In order to participate in these activities, you must wear an introduction bracelet, which you will receive from the Student Union on the starting date of the semester.
The programme (PDF spring 2019) for autumn 2019 will be updated here as soon as it is finished.
This film shows parts of the Orientation Days before the autumn semester of 2013. Some names and people have changed since then, but the university and the city of Borås are the same.
