Regarding the novel coronavirus: The University of Borås has extended yellow level until 8 November. Yellow level means that university operations are to continue but that physical contact should be minimised as much as possible. The university has moved over to online instruction as far as possible. Stay updated.

Currently (level yellow), the following opening hours apply at the university.

Admissions Office

Cases are handled by phone and email. Not open for visits.  

DO-tank Center

Not accepting new bookings 13/3-13/4. Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis for those meetings that are already booked. People with access may be present on the premises but only according to the guidelines developed by the university.

HR Payroll

Available by phone and email as usual.

International Office

Cases are handled via email and telephone. Not open for visits.  Contact

Main entrances

Balder Building follows the Reception's opening hours.

The entrances at Sandgärdet follow the University Library's opening hours.

The entrance at the Swedish School of Textiles, Simonsland, is closed.

As an employee and student at the University of Borås, you have access to our premises as usual via your access card.


Monday-Friday: 08:00-16:00

Restaurant Balder 

The restaurant is open as usual in the Red Dining Room. 

The Green Dining Room, the salad bar, and the café in Sandgärdet are closed.

Student Health Care

Open for visits as well as advice given over the phone.

Monday-Friday: 12:00 -14:00 to pick up ordered material, otherwise closed.
