This course is a follow-up to Part One of the Basic Course in Swedish. It is aimed for students who have already attained a rudimental command of the Swedish language (A1). It covers the use of the present perfect and past perfect tenses of main verbs and also of auxiliary verbs. From the point of view of syntax, it clarifies the distinction between main clauses and sub-clauses, and the different conjunctions that connect them. Also included will be the irregularities of the comparison of adjectives. Vocabulary building will concern the areas of studies and professions. The rules for the pronunciation of Swedish will also be gone into. The course relies mainly on communicative training which enables the students to exercise the skills they have acquired. Written and oral tasks are performed and marked continuously. The course also involves gaining an understanding of Swedish customs both regarding student matters and in general.
