The University of Borås has previously had agreements with publishers that make it free for researchers at to publish Open Access in some journals. We are now adding an agreements with the major publishing company Taylor & Francis as well as IOP.
The offset agreements in Sweden are negotiated through the National Library through something called the Bibsam consortium for the express purpose of advancing the Open Access development. The agreements the University of Borås has joined means that the publishers are paid a yearly fee to lower or remove the publication fees (article processing charges or Open Access fees) when researchers choose to publish Open Access in some or all of their journals. There are subscriptions to new databases, some databases has new content, and there are a couple of databases we don't subscribe to anymore.
