Following invoices - finding professional learning

The project will utilize the four project members' shared expertise in research on the teacher profession, teachers' CPD and pedagogic trends as well as their insights in policy network analysis and the theory of practice architectures. The first project year (2020) focuses on which CPD that is offered teachers in three selected municipalities and starts from factual, municipal invoices. The second year addresses the question of the impact of CPD on the teacher profession. Here, focus group interviews with teachers from each municipality are central. The third year directs CPD purchasers and providers and their power through a network analysis. How contextual and site-specific conditions influence teachers' CPD permeates the project in an overall perspective.

The project strengthens support for authorities, organisations, the public sector and municipal stakeholders to make well-informed decisions. It also develops enriched methodological understandings on how to 'follow policy' and enriched theoretical understandings.
