I currently work as a doctoral student within the research area of The Human Perspective in Care with a focus on caring in high-tech and pre-hospital environments. My research explores transfers of intensive care patients between different hospital intensive care units, so-called interhospital transfers. The overall aim of the project is to study care within the process of transferring intensive care patients from the perspectives of patients, next of kin, and healthcare professionals.
I am an intensive care nurse and began my employment at the University of Borås in 2007 where I have mainly been active as a lecturer within the educational programme for postgraduate diplomas in specialist nursing within intensive care. For the past three years, I have combined being a lecturer with clinical practice as an intensive care nurse in the intensive care unit at the hospital Hallands Sjukhus Varberg.
