iSchools
The organisation iSchools was established in USA 2005 where programs within the information science field (iField) needed to identify, clarify, and speak to the major issues, challenges, and driving questions at the nexus of information, technology, and society.
Facts iSchools
iSchools is a global organisation with leading members in the information science field, who recognises that expertise in all forms of information is required for progress in science, business, education, and culture. The organisation has spread to both Europe and Asia.
Besides the University of Borås, the Nordic members are the Royal School of Library and Information Science at Copenhagen University, School of Information Sciences at the University of Tampere and the Department of Archivistics, Library and Information Science at Oslo and Akershus University of Applied Sciences.
