Loans and interlibrary loans

When you are a distance student at University of Borås and living outside of Borås municipality you are eligible to get material sent home to you without other costs than freight when returning books. Please use this address:

University of Borås
University Library
501 90 Borås

The cost for ordering a copy of an article in one of our print journals is 40 SEK. You will receive an invoice which should be used to pay the article.

Order books from the University Library's collections

You order books directly in our search Primo. Login to Primo, search for the book and click on Reservation. Then choose Post Code * Home Address and finish with Reserve. If the book is on loan you place a reservation and when the book is returned, we will send the book to your home adress. Is the book available in the University Library, we pick it off the shelf and send it to you.

University Library card

As a distance student, you will access all the University Library's e-resources through your user account (S-number and password) which you get when you register at the university. This user account also is used when you want to borrow books or order articles from printed journals. Should you need a chip (used as a library card, a copy card and an access card) when you are in Borås at the university, contact the Information Point in the library and we will help you!

Interlibrary loans

You may request books which are not available in our collections. We will borrow the material from another library and forward the materials to you. This is called interlibrary loan. If you live outside Borås municipality, we will send books to you.

You can also order articles which we do not have in our collections. The cost is the same as when ordering articles from our collections; 40 SEK.
