Lindex teams up with The Swedish School of Textiles
“Design is vital to our growth and success,” says Lea Rytz Goldman, Director of Design and Purchase at Lindex. “Which is why we’re delighted to be involved in the fashion design programme, right from the time it starts to the degree fashion show when it finishes. The Swedish School of Textiles offers high-quality training and is busy nurturing the successful designers of the future.”
Lindex’s role will include providing expertise on the design process and business skills in a retail context, as well as the option of placements and interviews for final-year students.
“The venture with Lindex is important for the fashion design programme as it gives students a greater understanding of the area they’ll be working in,” says Clemens Thornquist, professor and programme director at The Swedish School of Textiles. “The fashion design programme has come a long way over the last few years and this collaboration means that we will be able to make further improvements in conjunction with a key player with strategic design ambitions.”
Lindex is also the sole sponsor of The Swedish School of Textiles’ fashion show put on by the programme’s graduating students during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Stockholm in August.
