Summons interface has recently been updated with a few improvements in the ability to refine and display search results. One is the 'Exclude' and the other is displaying the number of hits for each facet.
When you run a search in Summon, it can sometimes be good to have the option to exclude some records from the result list. For example, maybe you do not want to see book reviews or news paper articles in your result list. Then you can now filter out unwanted items by clicking on the icon to Exclude (the icon with the pencil adjacent to "Refine your search"). The facets that can be used with Exclude is Content type, Discipline, Subject terms, Language and Library location.
Display of the number of hits
The number of hits of a search are located at the top of the result list. The facets also displays the number of hits divided to Content type, Discipline, Subject terms, Language and Library location. It gives you a picture of how items are allocated and can support you in further refinements of your search. Previously, you had to move your cursor over the facets to see the number of hits for each of them.
Below you can see how it looks and where to find the functions in Summon.
