The Swedish School of Textiles's Fashion Programmes are Top-Rated

The Business of Fashion's (BoF) annual evaluation of the world's fashion schools are intended to inform potential students about which schools are best. And the Swedish School of Textiles's Bachelor's programme in Fashion Design and its Master's programme in Fashion and Textile Design have been rated at the very top.

"The fact that both the Master's programme and the Bachelor's programme are ranked here, and that both are ranked highly--both programmes received the award "best overall"--is a great recognition of our environment and our international relevance," says Emma Fälth, Lecturer at the Swedish School of Textiles, University of Borås.

"We want to be among the best in the world, and the world's best survey of fashion schools shows that the students who graduate from us receive the right education for a continued career nationally and internationally. Our students are well received by our national design industry, but perhaps the international understanding of the value of a degree from us can be increased with BoF's ranking, as well as help open a few more doors to our students, and encourage more talent to apply to us. We know that our students are good: now even more people know it," says Emma Fälth.

Both the Bachelor's and Master's programmes were awarded "Badges of Excellence" as well as "Best overall."

Business of Fashion has collected and analysed detailed data and information from a total of 66 fashion schools in 23 countries. The evaluation was supplemented by, among other things, a survey of 13,500 students and alumni as well as input from the Business of Fashion's Education Council, a committee made up of 12 experts from fashion education and industry professionals.
