How to use Primo

You will find a search box for Primo on the Library's webpage - Search in Primo.

Primo focuses on full-text material in the form of articles and e-books as well as printed material that you find on the shelves, such as books, course literature and journals. You can use Primo on computers, tablets and mobiles.

Search for a book

You can use Primo if you want to check if we have a book in the collections and see on which shelf it is placed, or if it is available as an e-book. You also get the opportunity to see if the book is in and is available for loan. If the book is on loan, you can reserve it.

Search on a topic and filter the results

If you want to search for material within a certain topic, Primo is a good starting point. You enter your search terms and see the result in the result list. The result of a search can consist of different types of resources such as books, articles, dissertations, essays and more. You have the opportunity to filter your search by, for example, resource type, subject, language and other choices. You also see if a particular title is available electronically or in print.

My account

If you have an account in Primo, you have the opportunity to log in and see your loans, make reservations for borrowed books and place orders for materials via interlibrary loans. It is also possible to create alerts on searches and to save records.
